Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Bellwood Mennonite Church, Milford, with Pastor Dave Miller officiating. Interment is in Blue Mound Cemetery. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lauber-Moore Funeral and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bellwood Mennonite Church where family will receive relatives and friends. Viewing also 1 hour prior to services at church on Thursday. Memorials have been established to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.

Paula Jo Pickerill was born May 9, 1954 in Seward, Nebraska to Royden and Doreen (Stutzman) Troyer, the youngest of four children and passed away suddenly Monday, February 11, 2013, at her home in Milford at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 2 days. As a young girl, she attended Milford Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1972. After her graduation, Paula worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank as a teller and in 1975, went to Downey, California with the Mennonite Mission Service helping with day care and home health care. Returning to Milford she went to work at Union Bank in Lincoln. Paula was united in marriage on July 7, 1979 to Dan Pickerill at Bellwood Mennonite Church and to this union, three sons were born: Travis, Troy and Toby. They made their home briefly in Lincoln before returning to Milford in 1983. Besides raising her family, Paula worked at Webermeier Library and the Milford Public School District for a time before ultimately joining Dan at Digitec, Inc. where she was instrumental in helping Dan succeed in their business. Paula was also an Avon representative for many years. Paula was a life-long member of Bellwood Mennonite Church and was involved in various capacities of the church, teaching Sunday school and playing the piano for Sunday worship services, funerals and weddings. The most important part of Paula’s life was her family. She loved the opportunity of being able to stay at home with her children and watch her boys grow and develop. In her spare time, Paula enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Paula is survived by her husband, Dan of Milford; three sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Christy Pickerill, Moundridge, KS, Troy Pickerill, Toby and Abby Pickerill, all of Milford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rod and Ginny Troyer, Lynn and Barbara Troyer, all of Cape Coral, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Trish and Larry McWain, Surprise, AZ; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Chris Thompson, Denice Manley, Diane and Tom Mountford, all of Lincoln, mother-in-law and spouse, Marilynn and Roy Ankrom, Lincoln, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Royden and Doreen Troyer.
