In Memory of Willa N. Moline
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home in Friend with Rev. Paixao Baptista officiating. Interment will be in Andrew Cemetery, Friend. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, and 9 am until service time on Thursday at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Friend. Memorials have been established and are directed in care of the family.
Willa Nelle Moline of York, was born February 17, 1953 in Friend, Nebraska to Virginia J. (Engel) and Edwin F. Connolly, the 9th of 11 children and passed away at BryanLGH East Medical Center in Lincoln on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 2 days. As a young girl she attended Friend Public School, graduating with the Class of 1972.
Willa had a big heart and loving personality with a special gift for being a care giver. She furthered her education, became a CNA and was employed at nursing homes in Exeter, Friend and York. Willa was united in marriage to Henry Moline on June 16, 1984 in York. Willa brought to this union her three children, John, Jamie and Stephanie.
She enjoyed taking care of her mother for several years. One of her hobbies was playing Bingo with her family, friends and nursing home residents. Willa’s family was very important to her and she recently enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Moline, York, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Robby Cunningham, York, son, Jamie Diessner, York, John Diessner and his fiancé, Emmaleigh, both of Lincoln, eight grandchildren, Keisha, Isaiah, Zane, Hayden, Noah, Camden, Robert, Ashtun, brothers and sister-in-law, Roy Connolly, Hastings, Edmond and Jan Connolly, Lincoln, sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Gonzales, York, Sharon Patton, Beatrice, Lila and Marvin Kubicek, Gering, Judy and Roger Riley, Guthrie Center, IA, Janet and Donald Labenz, Shickley, Gretta Merrill, Glendale, AZ, Sue and Gary Heironymus, Geneva, Cindy and David Means, York, former spouse, David Diessner, Lincoln, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1981 and her mother on November 17, 2012 and an infant grandson, Preston.
